Community Workshops
Community members were invited to participate in Heavy Hearts, Grateful Souls, a two-part workshop. The first workshop focused on reflecting on gratitude and writing or drawing these reflections on strips of paper. These strips were then incorporated in papier mache orbs that were formed around balloons.

The second workshop focused on the release of burdens. While I initially thought participants would write about their burdens, it was very interesting to see that the fabric strips that were provided were manipulated in other ways, such as ripping, knotting or braiding.

These components became part of the Spirit Vessel installation.
